India is a land of diversity and culture. Every day brings a new experience and 14th May 2018 was no different. It was an exciting day for me as I was going to visit one of the most beautiful and culturally rich cities of India- Agra. My expectations were high, and I was eager to explore the city that boasts of one of the Seven Wonders of the World - The Taj Mahal.

As I reached Agra, the first place I visited was the magnificent Agra Fort. Built by the Mughal emperor Akbar in the 16th century, the fort is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The fort was not only a symbol of strength and power but also a place of grandeur and luxury. I was awestruck by the intricate carvings and designs on the walls of the fort, which showcase the skills of the artisans of that time.

My next stop was the Mehtab Bagh, a beautiful garden on the banks of the Yamuna river. The garden provides a perfect view of the Taj Mahal, and it is said that this is the place where Shah Jahan used to admire the beauty of the Taj in the moonlight. As I stood there, taking in the view of the Taj Mahal, I felt a sense of tranquillity and peace, which left me spellbound.

The highlight of the day was, of course, my visit to the Taj Mahal. As I entered the premises, I was overwhelmed by its size, beauty, and magnificence. The white marble structure with intricate carvings and inlaid gemstones is a true testament to the love of Shah Jahan for his wife Mumtaz Mahal. The Taj Mahal is considered one of the most beautiful and romantic buildings in the world, and it is not hard to see why. It was a surreal experience to stand in front of it and witness the magic of its architecture.

As the day drew to a close, I left Agra with a sense of awe and wonder. It was an experience that I will cherish forever and a reminder of the rich cultural heritage of India.

Evenings are usually spent studying and finishing homework. Once that is done, I usually spend some time with my family. We watch TV, talk about our day, and have dinner together. In Indian culture, family is an essential part of our lives, and spending time with them is always a priority.

As the day comes to an end, I go to sleep knowing that tomorrow will be another exciting day. As an Indian child, life is full of possibilities, and I am grateful for all the opportunities that come my way.
